Pourvoirie Lac Geneviève d’Anticosti, a non-profitable organization, was founded in 1982 and belongs to residant members living on Anticosti. It holds an exclusive 721square kilometers territory and his main camp is located 30 minutes (32 km) from Port-Menier. His head office is in Port-Menier, the unique town on Anticosti.
Situated at the mouth of the St-Lawrence gulf, Anticosti is the largest island in Quebec with a nearly 8000 square kilometers surface. The ways to have access to the island is by air or by boat depending of the navigation season.
The goal of Pourvoirie lac Geneviève d’Anticosti is to contribute to the community development and to promote a better access to the territory for outdoors activities. It has also the aim to manage the wildlife resource in a responsible way and to assume its protection, conservation and renewal.
Over the years since 1982, we offer different services related to the outdoor activities. During summer, we propose vacation packages or chalets rental. In the fall, we offer whitetail deer hunting packages either on the American plan, European plan or rustic plan. Our reputation on Anticosti island is well established.
Pourvoirie lac Geneviève d’Anticosti is much more than a services business: we consider human values has precedence over the simple delivery of a monatery transaction.
